A WHOLE NEW RESPECT FOR GRAPHIC DESIGNERS

When I started out at school I was putting all my effort into photography and film (video), as that was what I was interested in. As I started to grow as an artist and gain new friends, my interest grew in graphic design. I started to look at typography and layout in a whole new way. I would look at title sequences, logo's from all sort of companies, posters, and all that involved graphic design. Which I started to learn, is pretty much everything you see.

My interest continued to grow so I began to do more research regarding graphic design work I decided to take a few classes at school.  As my journey into graphic design started, my eyes were opened massivly. From that first class, I gained a whole new respect for graphic designers. It's not at all that I didn't have respect for graphic designers before, cause I did. I think once you try something new, something you don't know a whole lot about, you find a new respect for it and see how difficult it is. Trust me, graphic design is not easy at all. But for me I wanted to get better and develop some graphic design skills. As I knew this would help me in both photography and film in many ways.

I am still no expert in graphic design and I doubt I ever will be, but I enjoy it and it fascinates me. Lucky for me, a few of my best friends are graphic designers. So when I pick their brains, I know I'm learning from some extremely talented designers. Above is poster I created with one of my favorite quotes. No I don't believe its an amazing piece of graphic design work, but the reason for this blog is a show more of my ideas and get feedback. I always want to learn and want to become the best I can be in any and every outlet. Comments and feedback are always welcomed!

Thanks for reading!
